First meeting

Had my first meeting with Lesley last night. It started by getting to squeeze her adorable puppy, Georgia.  I'm in love!  It really, really, really makes me want a little buddy.

We went over schedules, nifty new gadgets that I'll need to torture my shins, hips, and lower back.  I'm WAY more messed up than I thought I was.  Physically.  Who knew those parts of my back that I REFUSE to let Dan my massage man touch - should really be worked out.  Hmmm.  If he doesn't touch them, they don't hurt, then I don't have to think about it. (NOT A GOOD SOLUTION!) Let's add that to the list of things that need to be discussed with the therapist.  :-)

We talked about the group workout the week before - great, no pain.....until Saturday when I couldn't lift myself out of bed because my upper abs hurt so much I thought I was going to die a slow painful death.  It was actually quite comical and made for good laughs from my friends.  Apparently tomorrow night we'll be doing a little less of whatever made them hurt.

Onto the workout.  It was good - elliptical then recumbent bike.  Not too easy but not excruciating.  I think it was meant for Lesley to understand the way I work (I divulged all of my secrets - how I push/don't push myself, comfort levels, etc.)

She asked about whether I would follow the workouts or go renegade if they were too hard.  I laughed - I'm a rule follower, if it's written down, then I have to do exactly what it says.  Otherwise, what's the point?!  She's the expert, I'm definitely not.

I'm so excited to be part of the CL team!  Life's been crazy, and I think this is totally where I'm meant to be at this point.
